Love

At 34, I learned that I was allowed to have a dream and I was allowed to believe in myself and I was allowed to surround myself with positive people, people who would support me. People who would help me. People who would love me. People who would love me until I learned to love myself. People who would believe in me until I learned how to believe in myself and it was an amazing experience. — Matt Haley

Mission: To prepare youth, adults, and their families for successful lives.  Pathways utilizes innovative and creative approaches in mentoring and education to help individuals develop to be healthy, productive, contributing and responsible citizens.

The Matt Haley Trust honors Matt’s love for children and his desire to change young lives across the world. At the core of his personal mission was giving hope to children — who feel lost, the way he did. Life is difficult for many children:

  • Twenty percent of students in Delaware public schools are Hispanic, yet only 31 percent receive a GED or high school diploma.
  • In the United States, a report of child abuse is made every 10 seconds.
  • Child labor is rampant in Nepal with 1.6 million child workers between the ages of 5 and 17.

The world’s opportunities are our opportunities, and the world’s problems are our problems. We want to hear your solutions to the problems that moved Matt to action.
